Copenhagen, Denmark / Moscow, Russia – Ester Solutions has signed a contract with Russian retailer company Euroset for the provision of the automatic mobile phone configuration services of Tweakker at its approximately 4,000 stores across Russia.

As a result of this agreement, Euroset is now able to provide automatic mobile phone configuration services for substantially all providers of cellular services, operational systems and mobile phone software in Russia.
Tweakker’s technology provides remote connection of a retailer’s sales register to its configuration system, which eliminates the need for manual phone settings. GPRS-Internet and MMS settings are also automatically placed on the subscriber’s telephone by special short messages (SMS).
Tweakker is a business partner for MVNO (mobile virtual network operators), service and content providers, granting them access to its automatic configuration service to provide mobile clients with settings from the largest database of mobile phones available as well as instructions and videos on mobile phone configuration. The service for instant loading of preferred settings and bookmarks facilitates the enhancement of the functions of a mobile device, improves uptake of Internet services by approximately 50%, and reduces the time required to service subscribers.
Tweakker cooperates successfully with major mobile phone manufacturers worldwide, which enables settings of new mobile phone models to be added to its database at the development stage. At present, there are over 2,400 cellular mobile phone models that can be automatically configured using Tweakker’s service. This is the largest OTA (Over-The-Air) automatic configuration database in the world.
“We are delighted that our automatic configuration service has become accessible to Russian mobile phone buyers through the network of major mobile telephone retailers in the country,” says Denis Juul Poulsen, Business Director of Tweakker.
Russian company Ester Solutions supplies and supports foreign systems for the evaluation of mobile phones data and SIM cards to the government and commercial organisations in the Russian Federation, provides additional services to the cellular retail networks and service centres, and develops software for SIM cards for the conventional and virtual mobile service providers in Russia, USA and Europe.
“Tweakker’s automatic configuration service has become a universal solution for the configuration of mobile phones for all network operators from one source. In the network of Euroset mobile retailing, Tweakker’s services span 12 cellular communication providers throughout Russia, including Beeline, MTS, Megaphone, Tele2, SMARTS as well as the main regional providers,” adds Dmitry Saturchenko, General Director of Ester Solutions.

Irish distributor CTC has launched the new Parrot MINIKIT Smart, a hands-free charging holder for smartphones, which is compatible with all Bluetooth® phones including the iPhone. It allows users to fully benefit from the telephone and navigation capabilities of smartphones. The device is available exclusively in O2 stores for €99.00.

A docking bay for all Smartphones
Parrot MINIKIT Smart is a Bluetooth® hands-free kit with a docking bay designed for all smartphones, whatever their size (from 56mm to 70mm width). The connection via Bluetooth® between the two peripherals allows the MINIKIT Smart to simultaneously manage hands-free conversation and the navigation applications available on smartphones.

Advanced hands-free functionalities
Once paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth®, the MINIKIT Smart synchronises and automatically updates its phonebook. The MINIKIT Smart can store up to 10 different phone books (2,000 contacts per smartphone) and can therefore be used by several drivers.
Thanks to the voice synthesis of the names and a voice recognition system that requires no prior training or installation, the phonebook is available without having to operate the smartphone. To call one of the contacts in the phonebook, press the green button, simply say the name and the MINIKIT Smart will dial the number. If several numbers are associated to a contact, the MINIKIT Smart will offer the possibilities and user will have to vocally choose one.
A smart solution, with no installation
The Parrot MINIKIT Smart is equipped with a swivelling suction cup that fixes to the windshield or the dashboard of the vehicle. The docking bay is equipped with a magnet for fast and easy positioning. Once in place, the MINIKIT Smart can be rotated for portrait or landscape mode so that the screen of the smartphone is perfectly seen by the driver.
For high-quality conversation, the MINIKIT Smart is equipped with a retractable microphone that can be positioned according to the interior of the vehicle. With a full week’s battery on standby and 10 hours talk time, the Parrot MINIKIT Smart can also be recharged using the cigar-lighter of the vehicle.
